Identity

Identity Board

I first created this board shortly before the election of our current president. I felt that it was important to create a board about this with the frantic fear that was rising in the U.S. population (no matter who you supported during the presidential campaign). Identity is really important to us–who are we? What do we stand for? Who do we associate with? Why do we do what we do? It drives a lot of our personal choices and lives, but what goes into it? What is identity made of? This board seeks to embrace this paradox.

Below is a list of books that I slapped together so that I could get this board up. It is in no way exhaustive because you could take just about any book in the curriculum collection and argue that it speaks to the identity of a specific group or person.
